Abstract

Quite recently, we were faced with a complete denial by students of a construction university of such a subject as the Russian language. The students had absolutely no motivation to study this subject, it seemed to them that the main subjects that would be useful to them in life and work were completely different. Now we can observe the opposite trend. The world is changing, and it sets new tasks and requirements for us. Now a highly qualified specialist is not only a specialist who knows his job well, but also someone who knows at least one foreign language. Learning languages is now becoming interesting not only for those who study in the humanities, but also for those guys who have basic technical disciplines. In this regard, this article examined the requirements that society imposes on future specialists (based on the state standard and professional standard), using the example of students of the Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering
