Abstract

The very disease  found   in  Wuhan, China, in December 2019 ie., the  covid 19 pandemic is a serious health challenge,  which is a pandemic occurred by  corona virus .The disease caused by  serious respiratoratory  disease ie., SARS –COV-2. As of 4 May 2022, the pandemic had caused more than 515 million cases and 6.24 million deaths,(WHO). COVID-19 symptoms are fever, dry cough, and fatigue. As of 4 May 2022, more than 6.24 million deaths had been attributed to COVID-19. Preventive measures to reduce the chances of infection include getting vaccinated of covaxin, covishield, staying at home, wearing a mask in public, avoiding crowded places, keeping distance from others, ventilating indoor spaces, managing potential exposure duration  washing hands with soap and water often and for at least twenty seconds, practising good respiratory hygiene, and avoiding touching the eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands. Those diagnosed with COVID-19 or who believe they may be infected are advised by the CDC to stay home except to get medical care, call ahead before visiting a healthcare provider, wear a face mask before entering the healthcare provider's office and when in any room or vehicle with another person, cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue, regularly wash hands with soap and water and avoid sharing personal household items.Methodology:To examine the emerging trends of Covid 19 pandemic in India. Nature and source of data: The study conducted with the help of primary as well as secondary data. Implications of the study: It is possible to get  knowledge about the number of  covid  deaths,discharge  and  recovery rates. Limitation of the study: The study made only in Tumkur city. Hence the results are applicable to those areas where similar conditions prevail. Conclusion: Those diagnosed with COVID-19 or who believe they may be infected are advised by the CDC to stay home except to get medical care, call ahead before visiting a healthcare provider, wear a face mask before entering the healthcare provider's office and when in any room or vehicle with another person, cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue, regularly wash hands with soap  and use sanitizer to clean the hands.(World Health Organisation).
